Default AMS - JFK Payload Optimization?

    Hello!

I'm flying to and from Amsterdam in a few weeks. Travelnet indicates that AMS-JFK is often payload optimized. Does anybody have any recent experience on this route? Does anyone have a ballpark estimate for empty seats that go unfilled due to optimization? I have other options, but initial loads look best on this route for me. Thanks so much!

I don't have specifics on this - but frequently when checking this route the window appears with the Payload Op advisory.
The aircraft and its passenger capacity would not be an issue UNLESS westbound headwinds and an premium priority ultra heavy cargo load
results in making the fuel load exceeding or near the Max Gross Take-Off weight such that non-revs and standby passengers would not be boarded.

Having access to the Delta TravelNet check the ASL (Airport Standby List) to check on the clearance data. You can only go back 1 day for the past
record and then check daily thereafter to get an idea of the status. Don't know how to do this ? First do you have Delta TravelNet access ? Can't
    do it without !

What flights are you considering AND the equipment ?

Thanks for the responses! I do have Travelnet access and I can do a connecting flight pretty easily through just about any US hub, but AMS-JFK is the most convenient. I'll take a look at the ASL, but was hoping somebody had some recent history with this route.

Unless someone has recently flown this route and had comments it is something
that is not checked and published. The best method is to for you to find out for yourself.
Since you do have the Delta TravelNet keep looking daily and make a log of what
you find to get your own level of comfort for potential space availability.
See how your pass class fits on each of the days and flights paying attention as to
who is filling those seats in the front cabin and how many empty coach seats are
left as a buffer if any.

To get a better summary use the revenue site Delta.com and take a look at the
seat mask to see the seats left for selection in both cabins and monitor that.
Know as much to know about your flight.

As a hint have portable internet with Wi-Fi on the day of the flight logon to the
TravelNet site and the ASL and watch how the standbys are cleared. You are
there and almost right beside the Gate Agent clearing the standbys.
