Yes Chris, I do love Ireland. I lived there for a few years and traveled the whole country.

I dont know what kind of tight budget you are on, but the B&B's are pretty cheap. They run about $25.00 per person (us$) if that is in your budget then you are set because they are on about every corner and are the prefered place to stay.

I love the B&B's because you never need to plan where you are going to stay and spend all day trying to find the place. Just travel and enjoy and then when you are done for the day, drop in to one and ask if they have a room. The are usualy available. If not, go to the next one that is down the street. There are so many, that you never need to reserve and you will always find a room.

Take lots of pictures, and dont worry about taking a good camera. I was told that it was not safe and things would get stolen, but if you use common sense and dont leave things in the car in plain sight and lock things up (just like home) you will be fine.

You will find the people to be the friendliest in the world. they are great.
