Thanks again, Frapos. The buses started running late the next day. Of course, the tourist ones weren't on strike so we took a hop on/off (wow--$20Eu each) but got front upper seats most of the time. We went that way since it started to drizzle some sleety stuff at Checkpoint Charlie. By mid afternoon it was sunny. I loved being able to see a city being rebuilt around history and progress! The Sonty Center and Arkade were huge complexes--I must say the food at the Arkade was pretty diverse and yummmy--everything from an oyster bar to wursts galore. With the steep prices and exchange rate, this little Italian place was a "bargain"--Osteria Caruso--Kothener Stra(what's that letter like a B or 13?--help!)sse ?? # 38 Am Potsdamer Platz.
Good food/Proseco bubbly/service/deal/atmosphere etc.
