Alright Delta/NW non revs, a new Delta employee (benefits kick in next month) wants to make her first non-rev trip, a trip home to Croatia (LAX/ZAG). Needs routing advice; a plan A, B & C.
My friend thanks you, and I thank you.

NWA routing would be LAX/MSP or DTW/ to AMS then Croatia airlines from AMS to ZAG. Or you could
take KLM from LAX/AMS and Croatia from AMS to ZAG. We don't have direct routes from LAX to Europe on NWA
On Delta you could go LAX/CDG then AF from CDG/ZAG that's not a bad way to go. Good luck and have fun,
make sure and bring at least 1 preferably 2 options to return home, or get there by buying the zed tickets ahead
of time, it's hard to add to add options overseas to come home. So plan ahead and buy any options home in Zed
you can refund when you get back if you don't use them. Have fun!
LAX-JFK-CDG on DL or even "try" LAX-SLC-CDG, I've heard this one is w&b alot so not so sure on that. But tell her not to rule out LAX-CVG-CDG and LAX-ATL-CDG as Atlanta has more flights back and forth.
Travelnet directed me to CDG btw.
Or as puddlejumper suggested using AMS, JFK & ATL and possibly CVG- but I think we are losing that one, its usually seasonal anyhow.
just my thoughts.

DA-
I am a flyin' fool again
avoid AMS due to the new taxes--no matter what--too much$$ for new nonrev
maybe best to look to
LAX/CVG/CDG or FRA almost no charge then add zed to croatia
OR
get ATL/PRG then czech air?
I'd prob not recommend CDG unless loads look good
MILAN may have connex
(Avoid SLC/CDG)
look at whichbudget.com for options to go to/from certain city pairs for ideas/routes
reminder that ATL emps often do not list--they just show up--warning warning....
she should avoid NW since she goes to the bottomof the list and there are soooo many DL options that will get her better shots to more cities in that direction
when does she want to go?

Thank you one and all.
I'll probably see her on Friday and give her the benefit of your accumulated wisdom.

Why's that? If it's because of weight restrictions because of heat, that shouldn't be a problem, now.

Thanks Mayor. Interesting tagline you got there, I assume Woolman ran an airline.

I'm assuming you're serious and really don't know about C.E. Woolman. He was the founder and leader of Delta Air Lines until his death in 1966.

Mayor, I have to say, I heard quite a few sad tales about CDG, and it had nothing to do with the lay out. *wink*

This always ticked me off.....the way I look at it, not listed.....bottom of the list. You should list, whether a meal flight or not. Sure makes it easier when load planning.
