Hey guys,

So, I'm in Seville now as some of you may know, and I'm looking at different places to fly off to for a weekend. I already have the following plans, but would like to squeeze in a few more trips somewhere and would love some suggestions. For the ones that I'm not going with my school, I'd love some travel companions, so if anyone wants to cross the pond (or not, depending on where you are) please do!

Plans so far:
9/25-9/27 - Portugal (School trip)
10/2-10/4 - Barcelona (Going to be with girlfriend's family mostly, but you guys might be interested in the Red Bull air race that will be in town. Free admission for general public viewing!
10/9 - Gibraltar (School trip)
10/23-10/25 - Some trip with the school, possibly Dublin
10/30-11/2 - Trying to find something
11/6-11/8 - Again, trying to find something
11/20-11/22 - Probably Granada w/ school
11/27-11/29 - Paris
12/18-12/22 - No plans yet, but school is done on the 17th and I leave on the 23rd, so I need to fill that time somewhere.

I've been thinking about a few places, but haven't really made up my mind on where to go and when. I'd really like to look into PRG, BRU, or possibly a trip where I fly into FCO, then take the train to VCE and fly back to SVQ from there.

How about EAS?

I know it is still in Spain, but the Basque area is very nice to visit.

You absolutely must get to Prague. I've been there in the spring and fall, and it was fantastic...I've it isn't as fun in the middle of winter though.

Definitely check out the red bull air race. I've seen it here in San Diego a couple times. Quite spectacular.

Yeah, I'd really like to do Prague, but I think it will probably lose it's fun in the winter and tickets are expensive now from Sevilla (you guys don't normally have to work with that problem, and I'm jealous)

As for the Red Bull Air Race, it's funny you say that. I'm in Barcelona right now, booked my tickets a while back. About a week after I did that, I saw a commercial for the RBAR. Here's what went through my mind as I saw it: "Whoa, that looks cool. I'm in Europe, I should travel to whereever it is. Hey, it's in Barcelona. Hey, it's the weekend I'll be there! AWESOME!" I'll be going to it tomorrow

I have not, but I'm definitely considering it (if only because I have easier access to Africa now then I ever will if I want to make it to all continents). I have friends in Valladolid, and they were planning on going sometime during one of their long weekends. I'll probably join them then.

I did a lot of research before we went to Fes. Casablanca has very little appeal to most tourists except to connect on flights.
You can take trains (see seat61.com) and make your way on to Marrakech or Fes. I had no interest in Marrakech but thought Fes was somewhat fascinating. I would not return to Morocco (cultural issues/oggling/grab-ass) I put it down to been there, done that experience but I'm a whole lot older than you (and juts a bit particular--aka b-witchy about some stuff) but it may be exactly what you'd love!!
relatively cheap if you don't get ripped off (oh yeah--didn;t like that prospect and it's rather frequent there)

It's actually a female friend of mine that wants to go most (along with her boyfriend, I assume) but if I have a chance, I might as well go. I'll keep Fez in mind, I'm just trying to figure out a good way to get across to Africa. Obviously, bus/train isn't an option; I'm down to air (expensive, Ryanair flights have weird timetables and are only to Marrakesh) and sea (which requires me to get to the coast somehow).
