Yeah, it's odd that they don't have more service from North America eh? Flew out of LHR in 2008 and the dep taxes were deff brutal... However, I can also fly direct from YHZ (my home airport), which saves me the cost of having to travel to LGA/YYZ/YUL etc... which tacks on about $100 to my round trip. So to me I guess it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other....

The whole pass conundrum is this: the AC pass bureau has deactivated my spouse... so he can't travel. However, he's still listed as a "spouse" due to the non-divorced status. As a result, I'm unable to add anyone as a "companion".

So, whenever my boyfriend and I travel together, he's technically on a form of buddy pass (although with AC our buddy passes can only be used when you are actually flying WITH the employee... I can't give them out to people). And most Zed agreements (from what I've read anyway) prohibit any form of partner travel unless it's a spouse/companion you're traveling with.

Does that make sense now?

I think I may have to break down and buy a confirmed air seat on EasyJet/Ryanair etc to get from LHR-EDI. Or, just take the train. It's only a 4 hour train ride from LHR... I am a non-adventurous non-revver I guess LOL.
