Well I've heard from my LH contact and they suggest you go with khakis trousers instead of the jeans and a collared shirt. BTW, have you looked into compression socks.Revatron I have to say I'm really looking forward to your trip report

Hey sorry it's taken me a while to reply. Chinos are great - no need to go shopping. As far as jeans go, someone else posted they were acceptable. I usually list business so I go for a slack-y type of pants (Lululemon/Athleta travel pants type). MyIDTravel says smart casual and per google jeans are smart casual, so I think you'll be fine, especially with the other post confirming.

Ripped jeans are "EXTREME" casual! But for real, I would still wear the travel/slacky athletic wear pants (not leggings!) even in economy - and I have with Asian carriers since they're even more strict. Long haul in jeans is just so uncomfortable though, maybe that's a ladies vs. men thing.

Thank you for your input. MyID has actually changed the wording in the last week as it previously said ‘this does not include jeans’ but not it doesn’t mention jeans at all just ‘smart casual’. I’m going to risk jeans and smart, clean sneakers. Chinos means different shoes and I’m trying to go with just a small hand luggage so having two pair of shoes will hinder that.
