I think our trafic is back to pre 9/11 levels or close. I have had to get back and forth to LAS a few times because I have family there and it is as much a challenge as ever.

The trouble is that even though traffic is up, yeild is down because of the low fare competition and business travel being down. I know your familiar with that since you analyze BA routes. From what I have read its as bad or worse in Europe.

Did anyone see the recent WSJ article about the majors vs. the discounters?

As capacity has been cut to the Florida cities, and discount fares abound. It is hard for nonrevs to get in and out of Florida. Our no show factor is down to nothing. As of late 100% of our bookings have showed up.
Though traveling in and out of the east coast from Washington to Boston has seemed easier.

Lets see, on my last trip my flight number sent the ticketing agent's head into one of those you're in a world of trouble shakes and there were so many deadheading flight crews at the gate area that we could have used a traffic signal. We were bumped three times off flights that listed our chances as "good" and we were still in L.A. If not for the fact a Dodger Dog is a poor substitute for crawfish etouffee we would have picked up our Tupperware containers and went home.

I just returned from Florida left 6/12 ORDTPA and returned 6/22 TPA ORD each flight only booked about 40 people. Had no problems what so ever for a party of 2.

I reserve the right to change my vote later in the year. We are going to Hawaii next month and Korea in September. So we'll see. But it seems to be about the same.

I am from Mco and it is terrible to nonrev in or out of our airport. The flights to ATL if you can't make it on the first flight, "FORGET ABOUT IT", usually when I travel and can't make it on the first flight, I fly into TLH and TLH/ATL., returning back usually the last flight which is around 11pm from ATL is the best. And I trvl on weekdays only..

Just got bak from Flo. Fly into Mia out of Pit on Us airways No problem plane 3/4 empty. Getting back another story. The flight to from Mia to Pit looked good for 7-1 when we got there on 6-24 but then they issued that "yellow Warning" for the July 4 hoilday and people were running to the airport! Not to mention it rained the entire week. We had to take an express to mco stay over night and get a flight from mco to pit in the next day. We wanted to stay we booked a room while in Mia thinking we could get some sunshine in orlando an take the kids to one of the parks but it was storming when we landed ugh.
Getting out of mco wasn't a problem to our surprise because we had upgrades that we didn't have to use.

No problems. Couple nonrev trips across the pond, four cross country, and a number here in the west. No bumps, several upgrades, and only one missed connection, and that due to the atc meltdown in UK on 17 May. My wife claims all her working flights are overbooked, but so far I have been able to find the route less traveled. Guess clean living does have its rewards. Tesek

If you pass thru IAD and want to go to the UK we fly into MAN and as we have only been going a year we still usually go with seats and then there are heaps of flight to europe and LHR from there

I dont care what they say flying in & out of CLT much more difficult. Don't even think of Fl. unless you have a lot of time. Flights are VERY FULL.
