Most of us carry cell phones these days be it for business or emergency. You just had an emergency. You need to call 911. Lets say you got your cell phone in Orlando, so you have an Orlando number. But you are in Daytona. Your 911 call should go to the Daytona 911 call center. But it doesn't always. So when you make that call tell the operator that you are on a cell phone and give the phone number in case you are disconnected. Besides the usual information you would give, know where you are if possible. Give the address and the nearest cross street. If for some reason you are unable to reach 911 the old fashion 0 should work. Remember the cell phone is no good unless it is with you.
