Another reply to an old post but some helpful information...

I found the my insurance company does not cover me out of the country. I called AX and for twenty something $s, they activated a feature whereby each time I rent with my card, I am covered with primary coverage. So it's twenty something per rental rather than per day like it would be if you got it from the rental car company.
