Hi Buster Brown,

    Welcome!

If you'll select "Services" at the top of the community, you'll go to our services directory. There are lots of discount directories, interline agencies and the like. You might want to compare to the rates you find with our hotel search located under the main "Reservations" tab.

check with the reservations tab here--there are some decent prices. I know our crew hotels were really high--no significant break for interliners. Joburg crew hotel is out 1/2 hr (Sandton, I think) but we stayed at a fabulous African village property called Misty Hills Country Hotel--less than $80 for 2 including taxes and breakfast. Dinner at the Carnivore restaurant was exceptional! The hotel is less than hour drive in the dark; on our way to our safari. There is also a Legacy hotel near JNB with free shuttle.

Dakar crew hotel is supposed to be a really long way from airport. Sorry I can't offer any more info on that.

Thanks for the info. On a previous trip,I stayed at the Indaba which was a 40 min ride it seemed to JNB. The restaurant was pretty good but the rooms were terrible. I had to look at about 4 different ones before I found one that was acceptable.

Misty Hills is very charming. Our room was like a hut inside and had a nice large shower and tiled tub and real character! I think we paid extra to upgrade to deluxe ($10 maybe?) and it was very nifty! The entire grounds are spread out with separate bldgs connected with paths/waterways /plantings etc. They also have a sister spa nearby. You can email the hotel directly enquiries@rali.co.za

I consider this a security issue as do the majority of our crews,

Paul, what's the issue? Are you talking about a specific post in the thread or open discussion about where crews are staying in general?
