"Initially, Mutlu (traveling on a buddy pass) was told a flight attendant had taken the last seat on the plane, but then he was advised she would sit in the employee "jump seat..."

"The pilot told him 1 1/2 hours into the five-hour flight that he would have to relinquish the seat to the flight attendant, court papers say. But the pilot said that Mutlu could not sit in the jump seat because only JetBlue employees were permitted to sit there, the lawsuit said. "

Something isn't right here. I'm betting there is more to this story. Dare I say it, something smells . I know, I know, I'll get my coat.

On my flight home last wensday, the flight from MSP to SEA had been delayed amd some Pax had also been protected on to it - as it was the last flight of the day I got a little nervous and told them that I would gladly fly AVIH if I had too...

My husband said exactly the same thing!

And it's not a made up story - or at least he was on the Today Show the other morning.

I still think a FA (call him/her #1) gave up another FA (#2)'s seat, thinking #2 would be okay with sitting in the jumpseat...and then #2 complained to the pilot. But, who knows. Seems odd that a FA would offer to sit jumpseat and then decide, 90 minutes into a flight, that the jumpseat was uncomfortable...like they don't know what it means to ride jumpseat for 5 hours.

Alot about this sounds strange to me. Starting with a FA that's can't seat in a jumpseat for hours. I'm thinking somebody tried to do our "toilet seat flyer" a favor.
