My mom is taking a trip to New York later in the year and is planning on only carry-on but was complaining that she couldnt find her favorite shampoo and conditioner in travel size - I had finally convinced her to wait and visit Duane Reade when she gets there, but being the internet addict she is that wasnt good enough for her..

www.minimus.biz is a website she found where you can get almost anything/any brand in the small travel size that falls under the 3oz rule...kinda neat to check out all the little travel size things I had never thought of before...hahaha

isn't that site a hoot??
you can get almost ANYTHING in dinky sizes--snacks, etc AND have them delivered--did you see THAT?
$25 min ship I think. you don't have to carry them--now that's lazy and efficient all rolled into one! IF you're willing to pay!

PS--are you working today? Do you do gates? Would you make sure my husband's 12 yr old son gets on the last flight out to ATL tonight, please? Forget about his mom and step dad--stick them in lav seats, ok?? hahaha It's kinda funny, because he uses an S2 and 21 yrs seniority and gets first class while they hang in coach. Just kidding but it never hurts to ask!
Hey--if he isn't dressed nicely, raz him a little--cute little blond kid...

My wife found some empty travel size bottles at Walmart. They even say 3 oz. in big letters and I believe they were only $.99. They have been very convenient because they are refillable.

I use bottles from other products and write with a sharpie what the new contents are--like conditioner might become Deet 35%...etc etc etc
I only re-use ones that haven't leaked....

Good find DF; from someone who had their half empty tube of toothpaste confiscated.

I have given up finding good travel sizes except for tooth paste. I purchased a set of 4-3 oz bottles (different colors so I don't have to write on it) in their own handy-dandy bag from Walgreens. Cost: $3.99.

Love those TSA rules! I lost a couple of tubes of sunscreen that way and gave up trying to explain that they were 1/2 empty. Gee, I have no idea why they didn't believe me.

My DL legacy.....

After the whole 3oz thing came out, I authored this page with a lot of cross-divisional input:
