Hey! I'm going with my sister to Italy and we want to do it as cheaply and easily as possible... DUH! What does anyone know about b & b's and the train system. Also, since she's only going once in her lifetime, what do we absolutely not want to miss and buy there?
Make copies of your passports/credit cards etc. Wear a money belt and neck pouch and watch out for the "gypsies".
We were attacked twice near Termini Station. The only thing they got was a ball point pen. The other one got a hit from me.
If you really want it cheap, I've read about staying in convents in Italy... pretty bare bones but clean and adequate. Google "Rick Steve's Europe Through the Back Door".
