Why don't all flights show up when I try to figure out the cost on UAL's site? As an example, on zed I can see multiple direct flights from HKG to KUL, but on UAL's zed fares calculator it tells me that there are no direct flights. WTF?[/b]
The UAL site may only show those airlines with which UA has a ZED agreement and from what I understand UAL does not have a lot (22 I think) and South African is not one of them. So, more than likely, you still have an ID90 with SA. In the example you give (HKGKUL) I found that CX, MH are the only carriers operating nonstop flights in the market. I don't think UAL has agreements with either.

The fare level (Low, Medium, High) will depend on the bilateral concurrence UA has made with each of the other airlines. As stated above, the standard is Medium. There are, by the way, 9 mileage bands.
