Yeah I was lucky to make it out. Stupid really, when I left there were 100 seats open so I didn't even buy any CX backups. Then I get to LA from SFO and try to get some, and the CX staff tell me that I have to get them in SFO!

I ended up in a exit row next to another cute nonrev, so I won't complain.

The ReLAX lounge though, i'm glad i didn't pay (had joined priority pass) as it was an absolute joke. Who doesn't build a restroom or showers in a lounge, and who doesn't serve/sell alcohol?!

Hey Mig thanks for sharing, quite impressive! I was thinking it was gonna be some door with a scrawled bit of paper saying "nonrev lounge".... nice signage! What's it like inside... is there access control?

Did you see any non AA types in there... as in oal or are only aa using it/allowed?

I enrolled in priority pass anyways which has been well worth the $, but just wondering

It feels like an oasis of calm, with a table, couch and comfortable chairs. The crowd, far as I could tell, were all AA‘ers - conversations peppered with lots of AA non-rev speak.
What surprised me was the number of pass travelers whose back-up plan was simply to “wait until a seat opened up“. They hadn’t given any thought into alternate routes or flying into a nearby airport.
So there they were, traveling on a pass - during a holiday - in a hub, hoping that the next flight to XXX had an open seat. Good thing they ran into someone who told them about the NonRev Forum.

I think BA's staff travel operation at T5 should be the model for all hubs.... except maybe some couches would be nice... and a bar... haha

So Nick you told us what's not in the BA lounge, could you tell us what is? Also is the lounge easy to find, my list of directions "go behind a door near the Cafe Nero" seem rather short. LOL

Basically you walk through a door next to cafe Nero (!) it's two double doors from memory and discreetly yet well signed.

Then you turn right, walk down a corridor and enter door (marked) on left. Inside is/are:
    - a view of the apron
    - computers and printers for listing
    - chairs
    - BA staff member
    - FIDS telling you where to go next

You can stay or leave the room after listing. If you stay the FID will alert you to go to next room to the blue or the red desk, I think blue was bag drop and red was info (i.e. danger bad red). Otherwise if you leave the room and have your cell number in your listing, it will text you and tell you to go to the red or blue desk.
