This was one unusual place to see. A 1600's monestary in the heart of Lima. For two bucks enterance fee, you could take a guided tour throughout the monestary and see a collection of some very interesting art work. Old inscriptions, old wood work, old everything. What was amazing about this place is the tour routes you below the church and suddenly, a bunch of catacombs and bones, some 25,000 so far excavated and believed to house some 70,000 bodies believed to have been buried here below the church throughout the years. Alot of them during the Spanish Inquisition. I could go on and on about this place, but I found a link you may read more about someone wrote about.
Definate mind blower and if you ever get to Lima, check it out.
