sounds delightful. As Mrs767 said, I do know SE France pretty well (wife's from there & we have a little house near Toulon), but have not recently been a tourist in any of those places. I know you dropped Marseille because it's 'dodgy' but it's a great city with a marine ambiance all ist own. Great folr walks, and for boat rides out to the Chateau d'If (of Monte Christ fame) and Isle de Frioul. Enjoy your trip!
