one of the long-time contributors at luxurylink.com has been [more than once] and found things like a brnad new espresso maker (topoftheline)
I've been quite interested--maybe it would make a good meet and greet and shop?

That it would... I also just noticed if has an annex with unclaimed cargo haha.

Fly in to Huntsville or Chattanooga then car I guess... hmm Jack Daniels is also just 45mins away from Huntsville. Both for me are the sameish to get to but drive from Huntsville seems closer.

I'd say option 2 or 3 would be the easiest, but the last would cost me next to nothing on my FOC ticket. Coach only though argh.

Driving in the US is scary though I must say... but these seem to be back roads.

Either way a lengthy adventure.. right up my alley.

Anyone else interested in this idea for a meet and great later this year?

Wearing unclaimed baggage clothing doesn't sound too appealing. It's almost like going to some garage sale and looking at furniture with cat whiz on it. Or a pawn shop. But that's my opinion, others have theirs.

I thought this myself. You'd have to check the quality of the stuff on the racks.

That being said, there is plenty of other stuff there. Luggage, electronics etc etc. The unclaimed cargo warehouse annex behind it is full of name brand stuff that has never been used.

BTW - they sent me an email today, subject line was "Pick from Fresh Merchandise at Unaccompanied Baggage Center". I hope they meant new products, as opposed to foodstuffs!

Yeah this week's special--squashed half-eaten peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, direct from a seatpocket.
