I just returned from HYD on LH using a ZED ticket. I learned that HYD airport recently implemented UDF (User Development Fee) of INR 875 (approx $17) for all international departures. My ZED ticket was issued after the fee went in but it did not include the new fee. LH would not give me the boarding passing without showing the receipt of paying the UDF at a designated counter.

I always check in advance and also keep some local cash in hand just in case. BTW, there were no currency exchange available near the ticketing counters but only available past security near the boarding gates. If one did not have local currency, I am not sure how it is handled. No Credit Cards accepted either.

You have to pay at Guatemala City (GUA) as well. You can pay in $$$ or Qs (quetzals).

Hello. Can someone tell me about the departure taxes in and out of LHR? Are they included in the cost of a ZED fare? How much are they? Thanks!
