    Unhappy US Airways surcharge on ZED fare

    would like to know what kind of surcharges US impose on ZED tkt.
    Recently I try to have a CAL tkt agt to issue me a set of US ZED tkt on rtg SMF/PHX/LAS
    That's fare calc shown on tkt(of course I refuse to pay such non-sense fare)
    SAC US PHX Q9.30 31.00 US LAS Q9.30 Q76.84 29.00USD155.44 YIDZM2R2 and ZM1 plus ZP/US/AY ttl more than 170.00
    I know that ZED participate airlines not charging any surcharge except mandatory govt security fees if any.
    Any insight of this matter. the agent told me it's on system that US is charging nonrev trvl surcharge. I have no clue abt this. finally issue WN nonrev only paid 25each way plus ZP/AY/US USD8.08
    Any person have this same issue on issuing US ZED tkt with their own airlines?

    Because carriers are now filing ZED fares, it may be that US filed theirs incorrectly to include a surcharge. That's not accepted in the ZED agreement so you may want to recommend your travel office look into it.

    Thanks for the post, You maybe right, cos the agts in our office could not figure out what those charges were, just can say US is charging a lot of surcharge. will find a way to communicate wz head office to look into it.
    If you are in ticketing/billing dept of AA maybe you can try to type in the above itin see whether US is filing wrong ZED fare with surcharge. I had issued few ZEd tkt last yr and none of them had surcharge.
