Something I've been wondering about for some time: how common is it to be given lounge access as a non-rev C class pax?

gotcha--we have to BUY our club/lounge passes but they are not for every partner lounge in the world--even they are same alliance.. we do get discount for annual but it's not cheap!! we do get business AC seating no extra charge when avail but it means nothing to the club privs.

Depends on the type of ticket you're holding. Often, if it is a complimentary pass granted to you by the airline and it allows confirmed space in business class, yes. If it is a space-available ZED business class ticket, then in most cases probably not.
