I think, and someone correct me if I'm wrong. Companions travel at the same priority as you and are eligible for yield fares vs. buddy fare. You can only change your travel companion once a year, you can deactivate at any point, but you can only activate one person a year. You should be able to add a travel companion on DeltaNet under Employee Self Service.
