    Dear colleagues,

If you work for one of the following companies:

    - American Airlines
    - Brussels Airlines
    - Swiss

    - United Airlines
    - US Airways

please tell us when will your company join myIDtravel (if you already have that information!).

Of course, colleagues from other airline companies, please feel free to share with us the same info!

    Regards,
    Alves

I just used it for the first time, and while I love the simplicity, I dislike that you cannot use the tickets on other ZED carriers like paper ZEDs....
Oh well, you can't win then all!!

I know there are more Airlines joining soon as well.

It is a great system. It is easy to use, and lets you do everything (book, change and cancel). This really opens up the possibilities when travelling standby.

We are approved from myIDTravel.com as of today! Looks like we can book/list on Lufthansa, Delta, Allegiant, JetBlue, Emirates, WestJet, Air Baltic, and another carrier or two I'm forgetting. Sounds like it's a very nice tool to have that makes offline travel easier.

    Here's a myIDTravel question....

As an example, I have purchased a ZED on LH flt xxx from FRA-IAD via myidtravel, thus am also listed. Departure time arrives and I'm unable to get on the flight because it filled up.

I would like to travel on the next LH flt yyy to IAD in two hours. Do I have to purchase another $230 ZED (and deal with a refund on the first) to get on the list for that one, or will my e-ZED roll over?

That depends on the airline you're ticketed to travel on. Some allow the coupon to be used on an alternate flight, as is. Others require it be refunded and a new ticket be issued. Some of those can do that automatically, others require you self-manage that throught the myidtravel.

    It's never an easy answer.

Say I purchase my ticket on the fly, so to speak. Do I need to print anything out to give to the ticket agent, or can I just give them a confirmation / listing number?

That depends on your airline's agreement with the OAL. If its one that supports eTicketing through myidtravel, then you're set to go. The ticket and listing are made concurrently and all you need to do is show up. If it's an eTicket issued outside of myidtravel, you need to contact the OAL to list, give them the ticket number so they can link it to the PNR, and off you go. If you're paper ticketed, you need to contact the OAL to list, then present the paper ticket at check-in.
