Sorry..... This is just too easy to pass up. Is your wife an employee? I know she is not from your past posts. Why should she have this benefit if she is not an active employee? It would seem to me that you pick and choose which rules/perks are to your benefit, and if it doesn't help YOU, it's wrong.

I think you are incorrect. We don't have lanes for employees thru customs or immigration . No airline has them-- government controlled.
Uniformed crews do have immigration lines (along with diplomats/dignitaries)--family members are not permitted in crew lines.
You must be thinking about security and that's 50/50 if TSA allows me to access that line while on nonrev travel. I think ATL has a nonrev TSA lane in the far terminal security entry.
I'm recognized at CVG often, so it's no big deal and our lines are very short for TSA. We all end up with same check agent. JFK is all one line, uniformed crew cuts up front always. Most other majors are that way.
I still need my GE for fast tracking out of immigration w/out forms--more time in the lounge or not missing that tight connection.
PS--whoever mentioned it; I found the trusted traveler option on travelnet--never noticed it before--thanks!

It is possible that an airport employee is tending to business before he gets on that flight right? As far as travel partner flying with me, never had that problem. This is not AIRLINE policy. It's an airport issue.

TSA won't let you get in the employee line without your AIRPORT EMPLOYEE badge. TSA won't let my wife go through the employee line unless I am with her. I'm the employee not her. If I get any beef, I just grab the TSA guy by the shirt collar and say..."I know you you better let me through, I will tend to start kickin your behind". That usually solves things.
Riiight. I'm sure that you know as a certificated A&P, TSA can have our licenses on the freaking spot, no reasons, nada, no recourse save a lengthy court battle. All they have to say is "You're a security risk" and that's it BAM. So, I'm calling bull on this one.
