I'd like to see what was said to that guy that gave out the buddy pass. Serious embarrassment to Jet Blow!

I don't see why firing needs to be done over this. We can't really be held responsible for other people's actions. Like you give a buddy pass to a friend, you think he's all right, you explain the situation, suddenly, he snaps at what he perceives to be bogus treatment or whatever, doesn't understand the situation though you explained it to him but he did it anyway. How can we know this will happen. If the airlines is so concerned about this, why do they hand out the buddy passes in the first place right? I would just rake the guy over the coals and tell him something like...."Better luck next time you pick a numb nut to give a buddy pass to, because, he just became your "buddy !@#@!er"!

That's why at many airlines, the policy is that the employee must also travel with the travel buddy or companion. Avoiding such situations

That's why you pick your Buddy's carefully. What we don't know about this situation is why would someone be traveling while broke?
