Default No more nonrev discounts at Disney resorts?

Wow, I just got off the phone with Disneyworld reservations and they told me that they stopped offering interline discounts as of January 2013. I go every year and have gotten some great rates so I have to admit to being disappointed. Has anyone heard what prompted this decision?

One of our pilot wives at anotehr site mentioned this last month..I guess I should have posted it, but I just have no interest in Disney hotels. There are some good offer on LuxuryLink.com. You can also just call the non-Disney hotels for deals. There are several "runs" happening "off-season" so they don't need to offer NR discounts.

I'm gonna guess with the economy turning the corner & additional Intl flights added into MCO, no need for discounts to fill the park...

This is what I mean ..Disney reported a fourth quarter profit of $1.2 billion on revenue of $10.8 billion. That translated into earnings of 68 cents a share, up from 58 cents a year earlier. For the year, Disney's profit totaled almost $5.7 billion, up 18 percent and a company RECORD , on revenue of almost $42.3 million, up 3 percent and also a RECORD . Earnings per share also set a RECORD of $3.13, up from $2.52 a share in fiscal 2011.

I hadn't realized they had such a good year. I'm disappointed because I got such a great rate in December at the Pop Century (only $69/night) and I prefer to stay in the park. I hope they reverse the decision otherwise I'll have to start hunting for discounts before I book.

It’s seems we here in LA are also a victim of Disney’s success.
The Disneyland 2-for-1 ticket promotions and the discounted park hopper tickets for SoCal residents have also been cancelled.
Seems Disneyland is enjoying record attendance.
Of course on the bright side, I no longer have to pick up tickets for out of town family.

In addition Mig, Frontier is adding another DEN-SNA roundtrip for up to four daily flights in the summer to support that RECORD Disney revenue...

It’s all about Cars Land (very popular), a theme area in California Adventure. It’s inspired by Disney’s Cars movies ( talking cars, Radiator Springs, Lightning McQueen) and that I know this stuff is frightening and tells you all you need to know about my summer car service.

Try Interlinerates.com. I have booked discounted rooms from them and they are still showing 30% DW resort rooms (I think I got 40% off when I booked in 2011). It looks like it ends in June, buy you may want to ask them what they have heard. Perx is also showing the same promotion, but Interlinerrates was better to deal with when I used them the last time and seemed to specialize in Disney.

Good luck! I am interested to hear what they say as well.
