It was a real pleasure to take ANA to NRT from MNL recently. I liked the professionalism, and above all, I was treated very kindly there. I like those Japanese stewardesses. What I also liked was that they served you with dignity and respect even in coach. Served ONLY JAPANESE FOOD too. I took ANA from terminal 3 in Manila and calling up for a listing was great. We were walking amongst the old INTRAMUROS fortress in Manila when a lady from ANA called us back to list us on a flight. They called us back because they were busy and they told us they would and they did. Great experience. Cost only 47.00 each to NRT.

I agree, though it is worth noting that most people go off of A:14, arrival within 14 minutes of schedule. That can make a 35-minute connection pretty tight for an "on time" flight in some airports. Departure is D:0 though. One minute delayed, and you're still delayed.
Yes, that was a thumbs up. I doubt you see that kind of action in U.S. based airlines. I am forever an ANA fan as of then. I will try to use them more frequently. I remember going to the airport, and suddenly when the counters opened up, they all said something in Japanese, and bowed, as though greeting everyone thanking us for their business or something. We used to do contract work for ANA, JAL, NORTHWEST, ASIANA a few years back on Saipan. Since then, nobody services that island anymore except for Cape Air which is operated by United Airlines. The bottom fell out on Saipan, and its all gone as far as airlines pouring in there. Thanks to the closing of the garment factories and economic Globalism. We used to push back the Japanese airline planes and wave to all the passengers. Things are done differently in Japan, we can never really understand it from our culture. They like all that politeness.
