Yeah a great list, but I'm still on my way to Kentucky.

Wow!! To omit Kentucky is UNBELIEVABLE!! Take a trip on the Bourbon Trail... What about Becherovka? Fabulously scenic Karlovy Vary is it's birthplace. Or absinthe--from Neuchatel in Switzerland!!

Who the heck wrote that snark?

I still have some cachaca in my cabinet...

    My sentiments exactly.
Absinthe - 70 % alcohol absinthe, the drink of choice of Edgar Allen Poe; the drink that made Van Gogh cut off his ear, that absinthe?

What about KAVA out in the islands of the FSM? Pepper root that is crushed, grinded, squeezed, looks like a mud milkshake, taste horrible, but intoxicating. In Ponphei its called SAKUA but noted as KAVA on Guam/Saipan. Not an alchoholic beverage, but rather, a sedative, intoxicating. Here is how they do it in Ponphei island in the FSM.
