    Cool Incredible Hotel Lobbies

    Incredible Hotel Lobbies

There’s nothing like making that first great impression.

The lobby at the Hyatt Regency-S.F. is quite impressive.

Uh-huh I did, I also noticed the three hotels in London, makes me wonder why I always end up at one of the Holiday Inns.

Some of those lobbies are downright UGLY!! I personally found the Siam Kempinksi, Bangkok, to be an elegant, gorjus space. Warm and inviting, the heavenly scent of the incredible floral arrangements transports you from the sounds and smell of the city. Staff, clothed in modern versions of traditional garb, attend to your needs on arrival--cool towels and beverages; then whisk you away to the club level for personalized check-in.
Bue--once you make your first million, take the Missus there for a swim out pool suite. (or keep looking at LL for an auction). Gotta love that song, "I wanna be a billionaire"...

    Cool Hotels with Great Views

OK an incredible hotel lobby is great, but the hotel room, now that’s where you’re going to hang your hat.
    Hotels with the best views.
Jade Mountain - Hotels With The Most Beautiful Views - Forbes

Two I like ( from the photos)
The Shangri-La in Paris - views of the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Montmartre.
    Ritz-Carlton-Hong Kong - Victoria Harbor.

A few of my best hotel views-

Grand Hyatt-San Francisco- great views of the San Francisco skyline and you’re right on Union Square.

Palazzo Resort Hotel Vegas - great view of the Strip and you also have a bird’s eye view of the pirate ship over at TI, which gets you the nightly “Sirens of TI" show from the comfort of your hotel room.

Sedona, Arizona.-The beauty of Arizona’s red rock canyons. I visited Sedona a few years ago, great views and the hotel was great, however since then the hotel I stayed at has become a hotel/vacation club property (timeshare) and reports are things have slipped a bit; which is why I no longer recommend it. But if you want to visit a beautiful place, Sedona is it.
Maybe Donna can offer hotel recommendations.

Lets hear about your hotels with great (if not incredible) views.

Oh, yeah, it's warm! AND it IS private <wink> You can use the main pool or swim in the sacred pool or the winding channel (down in the gorge area) or leave the hotel and go white water rafting in the real Ayung River. Even from your pool or terrace, you can hear the rafters squealing with delight as they hit the horseshoe bend, then zip through the property on the Ayung. The villa pools (many villas are upper level but with lots of steps to get there) are infinity and you can hang over the edge and soak up the view. It is UNBELIEVABLE! Bali is an amazing destination if you stay away from the Ozzie tourist areas near the beaches near Seminyak, etc. You can also travel up north for a more "real" tourist experience--much more relaxed and minimal traffic. I highly recommend Bali for the experience of a lifetime!
