Default Brazil Visa, letter from airline?

    Hello everyone,

I am looking to apply for my visa and I have all of the requirements covered besides the letter from the airline on the airline's letterhead. I will be applying at the Brazilian Consulate in Chicago. What kind of letter are they looking for? Has anyone got the visa without having the letter? Thanks, and any other tips are welcome.

Read the section about airline employee visa requirements. It's # 2 D1. If you're employee pass rider, that will be # 2 D2.
#2D1 says copy of employee ID OR letter from employer.
Make sure you include the driver's license photo (they are the only ones I know that require this!) I am including an article regarding DL increase of flights in the future, as support, too.
I'm sending them 2 sets of listings for this year and next Jan to get the extended length visa. They are now 1, 5 and 10 yrs. God only knows what they'll give you. Don't forget the USPS money order ONLY and the $20 proxy fee, unless you're taking it in person. Let me know if I can help with anything else. I've just finished another Russian crew visa, since Boss is back to flying Europe. I just have to find 10 days [again] to get the Brazil ones processed. Once we get his 2 yr secondary PP it will be easy!

I dropped it off Monday July 1st and picked it up July 5th. I went to Brazil on the day I picked up!

Included in my documentation was the following:
    1 listing to Sao Paulo
    Copy of my license
    Copy of my airline ID
    Payment to the consulate
    Passport
    Papers from the initial application.

I got approved for 10 years
