Pilot wife I know goes to FRA mkt every year. You try getting Boss to take a train after flying from JFK! 24 hr layover means I have one shot--after a nap and out for dinner. Hotel is in Mainz. I'll take what I can get. Taxes are pretty high and I think too much for a quick trip, but as Boss says, "we barely pay anything to fly". Besides, I'm worth it!

Why not have the boss petition his employers to change layover hotel to Frankfurt And while he's at it how about pay raise, shorter duty time, more benefits. Hey we're airliners we deserve the best. By the way what does one do in Mainz???Originally Posted by mrs767er
Pretty funny, frapos! Layover used to be Weisbaden, but that's been AGES. I'll gladly take a 4 nite layover in Grenada over 24 hrs FRA in the middle of winter. I think he does OK!
