    Default Update topic, so...I've been away :(

    Wow, a lot of posts to catch up on! I apologize for being away so long, just been busy as all get out these last few months. Work has been especially hectic, I've moved house, and had 2 training events of 2 weeks each, in a 2 month span.I'm now fully qualified on the 777 and the 747, so I'm exceedingly happy for this. Getting training on the 747 has actually been a life long dream of mine!!

    So, I'm taking to the skies again this weekend, burning the last of my 2013 vacation time. I'm going to Christmas Market in Nuremberg, Germany!! I've actually been trying to put this trip together for about 5 years, but this is the first yr that I've had both the time and the cash to make it happen! Pretty stoked, nonstop out of SFO looks ok, still a couple of FC open, and one is all I need lol. Return may be a tad tight tho, might come back thru another hub, or even use LH as my return.

    So...how's everyone else been? Have a good Thanksgiving? Travel plans for the holidays?

    Good to have you back in the forums. Been relatively quiet here. I'll wave to you from the Mainz market; it's only a 24hr layover but my first one in Germany. It will be my reward after dipping and shipping 400 caramels and making 300 giant marshmallows. Most of my Dec will be cleaning the kitchen over and over and over...sticky goo and powdered sugar are very messy.
    No major trips since Thailand Nov and nothing until end of Jan, unless Boss gets some good stuff next month.

    Thanks folks! It's been so busy it's easy to forget the reason of the holidays. But yeahhhh, glühwein and gingerbread, here I come! Looks like I'll get FC outbound (unless the plane breaks), Return I might have to get creative if I want to sit in the big seats lol.

    When are you going?? I'm leaving tomorrow the 8th, and will be there till teh 14th.

    So...last minute nonrevs and upgrades knocked my butt back to steerage
    At least I had one open beside me, but me sure was teh tired. Train ride to Nuremberg was beautiful, as always! Now for the glühwein and gingerbread!

    What's this? Xmas market Mainz, Xmas market Nuernberg. Frankfurt is more than a transit airport. We also have a pretty Xmas market downtown

    Pilot wife I know goes to FRA mkt every year. You try getting Boss to take a train after flying from JFK! 24 hr layover means I have one shot--after a nap and out for dinner. Hotel is in Mainz. I'll take what I can get. Taxes are pretty high and I think too much for a quick trip, but as Boss says, "we barely pay anything to fly". Besides, I'm worth it!
