What's going on flyin low??? It is true, that they did begin BART service from the SFO airport into San Francisco and the rest of the system. It may seem practical to find great hotel discounts near the airport, however, rather I have lately found some really great 3 and 4 star hotel rates on hotwire.com and they are in the city. I would budget at least 3.25 per person to take BART from SFO into town. As far as places to eat, I would have to say that one of my favorite places to go is the Cheesecake Factory, located in Union Square on the sixth floor of Macy's. The prices are reasonable and the menu is 20 pages long. There are also forty different types of cheesecakes. If you want to be able to eat and enjoy activities, try Fisherman's Wharf, they have all of the waterfront activies and a number of waterfront seafood restaurants. If youe head take BART to the Powell Street station, you will be on Market Street, in the heart of all the shopping. There you can catch a the cable cars which will take you to Fishermans Wharf, or take BART to Embarcadero Station which places you in the Financial District which is a one mile walk to the Wharf along the waterfront. If you choose this option, make sure to get off of the train at Embarcadero, otherwise the next stop will be across the bay in Oakland. Anyway, if you need anymore help, just let me know. Carl
