On a recent trip to LAS we escaped the modern man-made marvels of the strip to go to Red Rock Canyon. It has a fairly long scenic drive. There is an interpretive center with information about several hikes. Wild burrows and big horn sheep are among the wild life that you might see. We took a short hike and I concluded that there's not a thing on the strip that can compare with this place! Awesome!

I love the Red Rock Canyon! I was there after the rainy season and everything was blooming. My other favorite place to go for nature around Las Vegas is Lake Mead. Last time I spotted pronghorn antalope and coyotes by the Lake.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.
