Hi all you Las Vegas Lovers!!!!!

I just printed this up as a private reply to someone that had asked if it was a good deal to buy coupon books for Vegas. I thot it might be of some use/interest here so, here's a copy of it:

Hi! I'm not sure which coupon books you're interested it. There are only 3 worth it to buy--well, maybe 4 if you include the Entertainment Book, but that one doesn't have much for the Strip altho others have found it invaluable. The 3 best ones are:

LVA (Las Vegas Advisor) Member--includes coupon booklet--just access to the member's forums here are worth the $37 or $50!!!!! See: Las Vegas Advisor http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/ Click on the yellow section--"Become a Member" to see list of coupons for current year. (new ones come out on the first business day of the new year)

The second is the book called -- The American Casino Guide by Steve Bourie-Mr LasVegas!!! You can buy it via the internet or in the gift shops of the Station Casinos/Hotels in Vegas. There is a multitude of good coupons in the back of this book--I've saved big bucks on eating in Vegas with their 241's!!! Also see: http://www.americancasinoguide.com/index.shtml --(Hint: their vegas Values report on this site is also very good)

The third is the coupon booklet that you get every year with a subscription to Casino Player magazine. See: http://www.casinoplayer.com Again, this has a few good ones but not as many or variety of the other 2 above.

I wouldn't send for any of these offers that U see on the internet for like 19.99 and get a bunch of coupons--most of those are free and you can get them yourself. Here's how: look in you hotel room for the Showbiz magazine-there's a few good ones in that. OR get a free copy before you get to Las Vegas see: Showbiz link http://www.casinoplayer.com Also, as you walk around look for other mags with coupons. Las Vegas Today etc are often at bell captain's desks. Ask when you check in if there's any coupons for your hotel that they can give you--some hotels still have Fun Books that they give out to THEIR guests. If you take the taxi to your hotel--they'll usually have a small coupon booklet in the seat pockets in front of you, in the back seat. Also you may order coupons that you may wish to have before you hit town via: Las Vegas Resource link http://www.goemerchant7.com/?Merchant=vivalasvegasn -- otherwise known as billhere but now has changed/updated it name to Las Vegas Resource. He has all the good ones usually for free but I think his shipping/handling prices are a bit high. . . .

Also, you may find coupons on the internet to print out before you go. A good site with links to 75% of the internet coupons out there is: Printable coupons link http://home.earthlink.net/~mjceditor/coupons.html

And there's a whole group of people that collect and trade coupons at: Ezboard Coupon Exchange link http://p083.ezboard.com/blasvegastoday BUT I wouldn't just go on and ask for them to send you their rejects. I'd get some coupons and offer to trade, first--so you can build up some trust...........

I hope this helps--I know that there are a couple of other coupons books out there, but when I investigated them, I felt they didn't have much to offer myself but maybe it would be a better fit for you.
