You need to be 21 to rent a car but I've never heard of that requirement for a hotel room. Anyone else?

I haven't - but you most certainly need a credit card (for most hotels).

19 should not be a problem, the hotels that I have seen age restrictions posted all say 18 or over...always a good idea to check directly with the hotel to make sure no issues for a 19yo checking in...

Shouldn't be a problem for alot of hotels. They even offer baby sitters.

In Vegas and Atlantic City you have to be 21 to reserve a hotel room. (gambling etc ) However, outside the gambling meccas I don' see a problem, since you can reserve a room on-line with a credit card ( assuming it's in our young, mature looking friend's name) and he/she can present the card at check-in.

Thanks for your replies; much appreciated.

.....and thank you Migflanker for making me feel so young !! "(assuming it's in our young, mature looking friend's name)" - I didn't realise my name was "mature looking".............actually I was asking for one of my kids and I don't think they will want the babysitter either!
