hi folks! going to DC tomorrow for Brasilian visas. Has anyone been to their consulate/embassy lately? Any advice on how to get there? I'm applying in person for both of us, and having passports returned in 5 days. It was the only way to get expedited service. Location is 3009 Whitehaven St NW. Thanks a bunch!

well, I made it. $2.70 RT on Metro--Blue line to Metro Central, change to Red Line, 2 stops to Dupont Circle. Exit Q street--walk one block to Mass Ave NW--head to embassy row--thru first circle, over Parkway--first left--up hill to consulate--whew--I'm tired again! I think it was almost a mile (3oth street--lonnnnnnnng blocks.)

Yeah, but in Washington DC, it's all uphill.

Update:
Consulate staff expedited for Tuesday processing, but docs arrived on Sat--2 days after I dropped them off!!
Great service. Just got the short ones like most people, tho...

PS--all you aerobic freaks--when you're past 50 and have a funky heart valve, everything seems uphill!! Better than "going downhill"...
