there are some really decent apts--one I used to like alot if you can find it is in chelsea--w 24th street--loft rooms. former owner is no longer there for me to contact, but if you come across an agent, I'd recommend any of the apts
there La Quinta is ok hotel in manhattan. if you want to do the commute--try five towns 516-321-2600 and see what they offer for qantas employees--the other burb hotel is sunrise/executive inn in long island--airline friendly, too and across from major grocery and train station--pretty easy trip into the city.
ck the Wolcott at 31st--good location nr times square--www.wolcott.com/2360 or call for airline disc 212-268-2900. mother's day and a major accessories/fashion wk is second week in may--hope it's not when you want to go. good luck--some lNY ocals will prob be better help...
