Has anybody been to Boeing in Everett? How long does one need to see it all?

How does one get there from Sea-Tac? What would be an estimated cost?

I was thinking of going out Monday, taking the redeye back.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Hey 19 , Chris (nonrev1) visited the Boeing plant a few years back. Boeing tour info
As I recall another member also wrote a review, but it didn't come up in my first search. Do an advance search, hopefully you're come up with something.

Well, the BEST way would to be "Ask a Local". It's about 45 minutes to an hour up there,a nd supposedly a couple hours worth (but the Museum of flight is closer and cooler I think)

If you came out Tuesday (My RDO) It would cost you about 20$ in gas and possibly lunch, otherwise, it's quite a few buses (and an all day trip) or an easy shot straight up I-5 with a rental car.

Hey Jumper, really appreciate your offer. I may take you up on that in the coming weeks.

I didn't get to Everett. I got to Boeing Field and the museum of flight. They pretty much had to chase me out the door a few minutes after closing time. It was really neat to see. Of course, its nice to have the ability to travel 3000 miles to see a museum.

I actually "flew together." Mesaba CR9 MDT-DTW, NW 752 DTW-SEA. Every tunnel I've been through in ATL, CVG, etc. I've never seen a light show like in DTW. The 757 seemed a little tired, and I didn't like the cloth seats, or sitting in coach looking at the empty F/C seats, but the price was right.

Of course I pumped myself up for the trip with Alice in Chains and Soundgardens greatest hits, and Nirvana's Nevermind and In Utero.

After Boeing Field I went downtown, went up the Space Needle, and ran a 7 minute mile to get the bus to the airport. I was 1 minute late to the bus stop, but the bus was 2 minutes late.

I got the last F/C seat on the redeye to ATL, CRJ through CVG to MDT, and then BED. I woke up just in time to go back to bed. Good trip.

YOU ARE SO BANNED FROM MY CITY!!!!!

Sounds like you have a good trip though! I'm planning another SEA NYC run at the end of July - YWG took a lot out of me!

No one told me that there was a hundred miles of NOTHING between there and Brandon!!!

I know the feeling, there are certain sections of Utah and Arizona, where there are just miles and miles of nothing...no houses, no gas stations, no cell service and little to no traffic, just nothing; it was just me, RJ and the music. It was during one of these cactus and sagebrush miles that we had a bonfide road rage incident. RJ saying something about my mangling the words to "Hotel California" ejected my Eagles CD and put on Books on Tape. Trust me, replacing my CD with a book about subs, while in the middle of the desert, was not a wise move. I won't go into all that happened ( probably put in blog) , but just know that soon the Eagles and I were back singing "What a nice surprise when you're out of Ice", in perfect harmony.

The best time to be driving through these areas are when you're "not feeling well." A few years ago I "got in touch with nature" as the closest facilities were about 2 hours in either direction.

And the music, Seatle's greatest contribution to the world is it's music. It's worst is Starbucks.

Hey Jumper, the fly together number, is that SEA, or is it in all the res centers? Do you get fly together duty one day, or is it just spliced in with all the other calls? I talked to a really nice agent yesterday when I was listing my mother.

Seattle's greatest contribtion and you didn't mention Boeing,....C19, you're slipping.
As for Seattle's worst, it's got to be -- ripped flannel shirt, over ripped t-shirt with ripped jeans---GRUNGE.
