Also a possibility is taking QF on the A380, with services scheduled to start from October 20 2008 (getting close!) from MEL and SYD to LAX. The QF product is nothing compared to the EK and SQ product, but would make a nice comparison, and perhaps a little more direct than DXB.

If choosing QF, beware we have just launched a new check-in system on domestic services, and is scheduled to be rolled out to international services before A380 launch. This new system is currently quite 'buggy' with lots of negative press in Australian newspapers. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
