Could someone please clarify for me a few things?
I have heard from co-workers that we (DL) are not allowed to fly F on NW, is this true?
If so then why is that? I have seen NW employees seated in F before on travelnet I know.
Also some say that they didn't have to list at all to via the telephone number to fly NW, and some say you have to call and list 8 hours before. How exactly does this work? For instance if I plan a trip that involves NW flying (as I have, but didn't go) and call to list then I am all set I know, what if I am stuck somewhere (LGA forbid) and need to hop NW to DTW, can I just do that?
    Thanks for all the help.

IF you are DL or COmair employee, you may list and nonrev on any NW or NWLink airline including Mesaba, Chatauqua flights(.

You are supposed to get a paper ticket from DL counter and be listed based on time of listing to secure your seniority. If you list on same flight before I do, you are senior to me (assuming you don't have 21 yrs?) We use some odd code, I can't recall what it is, but it's on the program details (6P-somethng?)
You can only hop on IF you have a paper ticket--if you plan in advance. You are not required to list on the phone--even tho it says that--I asked NW agent and she said as long as you have tkt (she can't give you one) you can do that.
Keep in mind, we displace their buddy pass riders and they do the same to ours.

You can list by calling the regular Res line - any agent can do it as it's as easy as listing a fellow NW or Mesaba/Pinicle employee. As mrs747er said, you WILL need a paper ticket issued by Delta before actually flying, but it's pretty straight forward. I haven't listed anyone in first that I recall - but I have seen people listed for First - granted, if this week was any indication, the flights are pretty full - I had a bit of a time getting from SEA to NYC and home this week - got lucky, but I was surprised!

since you stole my "carpe trippem" (with credit, of course!) your offer to ck DTW/CVG Pinnacle 3777 for Sunday Oct 5 is appreciated. It shows wide open 20+ seats on the NWA seat chart, but if you see anything unusual, let me know!
    I hope you're feeling better!

Wide wide open - all the trips on that day look good too.

Went back to the Doctor and this time had to go get a chest X-ray... Seems that pneumonia is on the list of possibilities. The biggest problem I'm having (other than being completely grounded! I can barely make it to the grocery store) is all the meds say "Take with food" and to be perfectly honest, there's very little int he way of 'food' that interest me.

Hey everyone. Hope you are all doing alright and that you're getting better Jumper.

I just wanted to let everyone in on my weekend travels. Saturday morning I showed up at the airport looking for a flight I could take that day and back (preferrably in F) so I finally settled on MIA. I was talking with some friends and went to get breakfast- and missed the flight. I thought it was a 0900 departure but it was an 0845.
I tried to jump on LGA and the agent said no. So I got onto IND with the hope of catching a NW DC9 to DTW and then coming home from there.

Got to IND just fine (20 min flt) and got a paper ticket for NW and checked in. Waited at the gate for awhile and near the end of boarding went to check with the agent. Well I got on. I was too excited to be on a DC9!! But when he handed me the boarding pass he said that he didn't think there was anything in first but that this popped up and if 1C was open take it or if it wasn't take an open seat anywhere. It was awesome, the NW crew were all super nice and friendly. When I got to DTW I had decided to try and get another 9 flight to ATL just to squeeze one more in. Well the next one was an A320. I decided to be bold and try it out. It was my first airbus flight. Pretty nifty but not much legroom. And I got lost on the plane. I couldn't see the row numbers going down the aisle and made it all the way to the rear galley and told the F/A i was lost. He showed me the row numbers located at the PSU lol.

Once in ATL i had time to kill because the next CVG flight was oversold and had to wait for the 2130 departure. NW had a returning DTW flight but nothing back to ATL and the last CVG flight from there had left already. So I was looking around on travelnet and saw that BNA was wide wide open and I could go and be back before my flight home.
So I did that. It was great. I like maddogs too. I was in the very last row to BNA (by request) and I slept the whole 30 minutes or so. Got there checked in and got a beer then got back on the plane. To my surprise I was in F. That was nice and there was a very handsome flight attendant too lol. In ATL I went from B to E and waited to board the flight back home and lucky me I was in F again on a 757. It was a great flying day and a great day for flying!!

Sounds like a blast! I can't wait until I'm back in the saddle - for now the only trip I'll be doing is back to the Doctor's office in the morning.

A DC-9, that plane has to be older than you are.
So CVG, did you get a chance to experience the music tunnel at DTW?
