Hi everyone!

Looks like I will be cooking up a buddy pass for my sister to go check out a college in Boston. I of course will be going with! Why miss an opportunity for a trip!

So, last time I was in BOS I stayed at the Hilton at Logan. No discount there, but I was in a rush and it was right there! This time I am looking for a good deal!

So who knows what crew hotel is in BOS, or a hotel with a good discount for us in the Back Bay/Copely Place?

Thanks ahead guys & gals!

take a look at resx.com thru travelnet--some of the BEST prices I've found
the prices on nonrev.net aren't bed, either
don't rely on getting crew hotel rates; often they won't give discounts except on contract

We stayed at the Days Inn-Saugus, it's aboout 20 minutes outside of Boston. There' a free shuttle to the airport and a free contential breakfast.
Word to the wise- Bostonians can not drive - It's a fact ask anybody. Driving downtown is not recommeded, parking is very very expensive, lots of one-way streets and they have these things called "rotaries" AHHHHHHHH! everywhere.

BTW Palms is wrong, the best pizza is not in NYC or Boston, it's in Chicago -deep dish.

If you look closely, the really bad drivers are the ones with New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine plates.

nah--once I lived in Boston and NY I figured it out!
New Yorkers drive to survive and Bostonians drive to kill
pretty simple...

Basic Rules For Driving In Boston

When asking for directions, always ask the person to spell the name of the street since you will not recognize it from their pronunciation. (This rules also applies when driving in New Orleans)

Directions such as turn left, turn right, or go straight are almost always useless since many intersections in Boston have at least five points, none of which go left, right or straight.

The first parking space you see will be the last parking space you see. Grab it.

Learn to swerve abruptly, Boston is the home of slalom driving. Potholes are put in key locations to test your driving reflexes and to keep you on your toes.

Never use turn signals when changing lanes. They only warn other drivers to speed up and not let you in.

If you miss your turn, never plan on circling the block to get back. No two blocks in Boston run parallel.

There are two Hancock buildings

and finally
Never make eye contact with another driver, it revokes your right of way.

Do they even deliver deep dish pizza? Those must weigh a ton to have to carry door to door. You can't even eat it with your hands. You can't fold it. Try eating one on the run.[/b]
Yes Palms, they do deliver deep dish pizza, I get mine FedExed from Giordano's in Chicago every six weeks.
And of course you can't fold deep dish pizza and eat it with your hands, the crust is too thick and there's too many layers of meat, you need a knife and fork to eat it. hmmmmmm Remember Palms, in Chicago you cut your pizza but never your spaghetti.

Frikin snowstorms. I wanted to hit BOS this week, but calling for snow Tuesday. I may get stuck there. I'll wait till it calms down.

Well well....looks like the storm completely misses Boston but D.C and Baltimore are going to get buried. And not just another noreaster that dumps 2 feet. This comes down as a BLIZZARD with the heavy winds, visibility and low temps.
