Thread: Flying non-Rev from JFK

At JFK as with most airports (SIN and BKK being exceptions) Lufthansa will issue standy-by boarding passes at the check-in counters. These are the same as other boarding passses, just that they have "stand-by" written where seat number normally appears. You get your seat assignment(hopefully) at the gate. I never had a problem with security at JFK terminal one. Lines moved quickly (by airport security standards), efficiently organised and surprise surprise, polite TSA agents
