I actually don't have one, believe it or not. When I listen to music, it's on my laptop (a Mac, at least), sometimes my cell phone (NOT an iPhone), or this new-fangled wireless music transmission service called "FM Radio." Lately I've been listening to classic rock, and have been picking a few random songs that stick out from there. Otherwise, among the songs I have in my list of favoritest of favorites, it's a song or two from a ton of different people. Notable examples include Blue Man Group, Gaelic Storm*, Kaiser Chiefs, a few songs from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack from A R Rahman, Sweet, Tears for Fears, The Verve, and the who.

Actually, one thing of interest: I used to listen to XM radio, which had a station I liked called flight 26. On my Spring break in 2007, I was on redeye flight UA76 (it's the same route now if you want to look it up, and I was on the segment on the 777, not 757). I decided I should put all my favorite songs to fall asleep to in a new playlist, which I naturally named Flight 76. 2 computers later, that's still the playlist name I use.

*Gaelic Storm is an absolutely fantastic Irish band which I would strongly recommend listening to sometime. It just so happens that they were playing here in EAU the night before St. Patrick's day, so I went with my girlfriend to watch a concert beat only by Blue Man Group (if you haven't seen them live, I'd highly recommend the ticket and nonrev trip to LAS). The whole time through, I could only think about how I wanted to buy them a pint. So naturally, I waited until after the show when they'd be doing autographs, and asked if I could buy them a beer. "Uh, yeah... we'll be at Hay Market Grill, I think it is." Turns out that place was closing soon after, but we heard they'd be at an Irish(-ish) pub. Sure enough, they showed up 10 minutes later and I was able to get the lead singer a pint of Guinness. Of course, I did make sure that's what he actually wanted, wasn't going off of a stereotype, but it was fun.

Now that's interesting, never would have figured you as a "potluck" in-flight entertainment guy. I always carry-on my ipod and a book, guess I 've seen too many badly edited movies and heard too many "sorry" music playlists. I'm not familiar with Gaelic Storm, and I have to say, first band I've heard that had bagpipes. *wink*

So Spongebue you're into classic 70's rock -- welcome to the hotel California, such a lovely place. *wink*
