Cool Name the Movie Quiz #2

    Name the movie
The rules are simple. I’ll give you a short (very short) summary and you name the movie.
All movies have an airplane or flying featured in it, even if it is only when our hero/heroine steps out/bails out of an airplane; or just goes zooming/floating off into the wild blue yonder. So put on those thinking caps and lets see how you do.
As with our previous quizzes there is no prize, just board bragging rights and maybe a virtual trophy - that is, if I can find it. *wink*
    Have Fun

    Example -
Film summary - Technicolor midgets give directions
    Answer - Wizard of Oz

    Ok, here we go

    1- Maverick overcomes ‘fighter’s block’.
    2- President flies Solo
    3- 10,000,000 miles frequent firer
    4- Boeing Constrictors
5- “Shirley” was a funny film
    6- Heavy metal soars
    7- Virtual viral villain vanquished
    8- Hal, controls, halts, deletes

    Bonus
Everything including kitchen sinks (clue - no airplanes in this film, although I think there’s a helicopter. This film features something bigger than a jumbo jet - much, much bigger.)

    Now let’s some answers

Interesting answers M767. You have some right, some wrong, and you skipped the bonus. You can still change your answers - think think think.

Considering I mostly watch movies on board DL flts--I won't even bother with bonus. I am proud to say that when we celebrate our anniversary--married 05/05/05--that we've never been to a movie theatre since we started dating in 2000. Last movie I watched in a theatre was the second (I think) Star Wars. The one with Natalie Portman.
Just not a popular movie buff--I just knew some of them from the plane rides when I got tired of reading. I'm more of a historical film fan.

I still think Snakes on a Plane was one of the most amusing films I've ever seen.

I’ve never seen snakes on a plane; I have however seen a ‘Stars Wars Storm trooper‘ on one, (he was in civilian clothes but was holding his helmet) I’ve got to tell you, the uniform definitely makes the man.

Palms except where noted, I’m going to assume your answers are the same as M767’s.
And in that case, just like her, you have some right….. and some wrong.

I'm actually really terrible with movies, but I have bad guesses for some and good guesses for others. I'm making a point not to look at other people's answers before posting this.

    1- Rocky series
    3- Up in the Air
    5- Airplane!
    8- 2001: A Space Odyssey

Bonus: Star Wars? I'm probably the only computer science graduate to not see that movie
