    Default Olympic Trials

Anyone in the PDX area? Going there this week?
My nephew, Drew Loftin, is competing for a spot on the US Olympic Team Hammer Throw on June 21. Some of my family wil be there, but if anyone is interested...
It's at the Beaverton Nike World HQ (the remaining track and field events are held in Eugene, Oregon, at TrackTown--for somer eason, hammer is not)
Drew has a profile at otterbox.com (one of his sponsors)

They are flying the family to London for the games (whether he places or not--pretty cool!)
Also sponsored by MaxMuscle Sports Nutrition:

Tickets are available at the venue.
    GO DREW!!!!It's HAMMERTIME!!

Hah, we're in surprisingly close-ish (maybe emphasis on the -ish) situations. I won't be going unfortunately, but my future brother in law's girlfriend is trying out for javelin throw out there!

He did a great job--5th place!! Not good enough to compete in London but family is still going w/Otterbox exec to cheer on the 3 throwers. Congrats to all! We're very proud of our "kid". His best throw was 73.51 meters = 241' 2".
I'll be watching for your "girl" with her javelin. All the best to her!
