    Thumbs up Travel Apps

What travel apps are on your iPad/smartphone?

FAAWait ($0.99) airport delay info, where, why and how long.

Gas Buddy - (free) no longer do I pull into the highest priced station in town.

GateGuru - (free) - mainly US airports - map of the airport-food, shopping, services and reviews. No longer will you be settling for a pretzel when just a few gates down there’s a ‘Pappadeaux‘ serving a very nice crawfish platter - who knew.

Hotel Tonight - (free) same-day hotel discounts. Bumped and don’t know a soul in town; this will help you find a place to hang your hat and at a good price too.
You can’t request bed type, so works for one or a couple.
I haven’t had to fall back on this one yet (plan A has been working) but according to reliable sources - it’s a keeper.

The Room - ($1.99) A storyline puzzle game - if you like mysteries, solving riddles, gorgeous graphics and there’s a safe too - this game is for you.
Now if I can only figure out the first clue- What grows when fed but dies when it drinks?
Hmmmmm….. maybe I'll just blow the doors off the safe.

”Always” uh-huh……….hmmm, now I have two cryptic clues.
This game layers puzzles upon puzzles so the solution to the riddle will lead me to a key. Now the safe is covered in all kinds of patterns and symbols--one of them ( I assume) is the answer to the riddle - What dies when given water??????
I will play the game tonight and I will get pass this, I have too, I’m only in chapter one

I loooove what UA has in their app for nonrevs. There's no way to list or check loads for a flight from nothing, but once you have a NRSA PNR created you can check loads for that flight, view standby lists, and change your listing (not without being given the chance to view loads for those flights as well, of course )

I wish we had a travel app for nonrevs. It would make things so much simpler.

Well I solved the riddle (actually I stumbled over it), found the key and the lock, deciphered some symbols and made my way to chapter 2 - I’m on my way.
