Feedback. Just lets the author know you like/enjoy, find their post interesting/helpful without having to leave a comment.

That is probably true, but I also think that some like to improve scores in the forum. To gain a certain status. Like the top ten contributor or top ten this and that. I mean, they actually work at it. Am I the only one that this type of behavior is annoying?

I'm not implying anything on this forum regarding above mentioned. I'm referring to the Virtual Tourist web site. I mean, you have all types of people posting in there but some are very concerned about their "RANKING STATUS" on that web page. You increase your ranking/rating by posting hints of where to stay and rating hotels ect.....I could care less about what my ranking is. Some in there are really into improving their scores. I don't know what's in it for them. A watch? A travel coupon? I mean, I asked a question in there, and when I thanked the person, she came back and wanted me to rate her answers.

- Bronze Star = Top 10,000 Members
