    Cool One Star Reviews

One star TripAdvisor reviews of some of our (US) greatest attractions -some people are just hard to please.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/de...?frame=3262306

    Metropolitan Museum of Art
”It’s just too much boredom in one place. If something were to be more boring it would be shut down.” “Double Yawn”

    Grand Canyon
“Seeing the canyon in person is about as good as seeing pictures of the canyon.
It’s possible the pictures might be better since the photographer only releases the most interesting views of the park.’ “Nothing Special”

    Golden Gate
“It’s a bridge people, which frankly shows you how unspectacular San Francisco is if this becomes a must-see.” “Pointless.”

So fellow non-revs what was your most disappointing travel experience?
For me, Times Square. Don’t really know what I was expecting, but what I found was lots of people trying very hard to sell me something. I really don’t need a gold chain, even at $2.

My biggest disappointment was the Forbidden City. Ido not know why, I am not sure what I was expecting but I guess I expected morethan to just walk through a bunch of mostly closed buildings. Most of thecity is off limits and only a few buildings are open and they are just littlemuseums with stuff. But, even though I went to a popular section of theGreat Wall, that well made up the disappointment of the Forbidden City. Iwould go back to China just to see more of the Great Wall.

I vote for Tianamen Square and Forbidden City in tandem.
Cinque Terre was bottom of my star list, too. (maybe 2 stars)

I know its wrong but I really wished they would have had a tank in Tianamen Square that I could stand/lay in front of for a photo. Seems the younger crowd does not know what I mean by that. But the news during the protest and the student standing ground in front of the tanks will always be what I think about with Tianamen Square.

I am generally happy to be anywhere but I had heard such wonderful things about Manzanillo and was very disappointed. The beaches were not even average and the water had yucky things constantly floating to shore. We stayed at a beautiful resort and even went over to another yet the overall experience was not great.

I only went to Times Square once and it was bright and crowded - pretty much what I was expecting when I booked a room there so I wasn't in the least disappointed.
